Tenerife Island Retreats

Atlantic views, island warmth, and year-round escapes.

Handpicked apartments across the sunny south of Tenerife — Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, Palm Mar and Callao Salvaje. Studios and one- to three-bedroom apartments for couples, families and long winter stays, most of them a short walk from the sand.

This collection gathers every apartment we list in Tenerife: fourteen stays along the island's sunny south-west coast, from the quiet village of Callao Salvaje in the north, through Costa Adeje, Torviscas and Playa de las Américas, to Los Cristianos and Palm Mar in the south. They range from a studio for two to three-bedroom premium apartments with a private pool, and most are a short walk from the sand.

This coast is the part of Tenerife that works as a beach base all year: daytime highs around 21–23 °C in winter, rare rain, sheltered golden-sand beaches behind breakwaters, and Tenerife South airport 15–30 minutes away. What changes from one end to the other is the atmosphere, so the useful question is less "where in Tenerife" than "which part of this coast".

Costa Adeje and Torviscas

The northern half of the resort strip is newer and calmer, with the Fañabé, Duque and Torviscas beaches linked by a flat promenade and Siam Park at the top of the resort. The stays here include two premium Atlantic Home apartments — two and three bedrooms, each with a private pool — a one-bedroom with a heated pool in the Garden City complex, a fifth-floor one-bedroom in the Orlando complex above Torviscas beach, and a compact studio for two. See the Costa Adeje guide.

Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos

The middle and southern end is the liveliest part of the coast: dense, walkable, with Troya, Bobo and Las Vistas beaches two to five minutes from most front doors. Seven apartments are here, from one-bedrooms with a rooftop terrace or a high-floor ocean view to two-bedroom apartments for families, including one that sleeps six. The Playa de las Américas collection gathers them, and the Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas guide explains the area.

The quiet villages

At each end of the strip is a small residential village with the same sun and a fraction of the noise: Palm Mar, near Los Cristianos, and Callao Salvaje, beyond La Caleta. They suit long stays and anyone who wants quiet evenings. See the Quiet Coast collection and our Palm Mar and Callao Salvaje guide.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the best area to stay in Tenerife for a beach holiday?

The south-west coast, between Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos, has the most reliable sunshine and the calmest beaches on the island. Choose Costa Adeje for a calmer, more upmarket base, Playa de las Américas to be in the middle of the beaches and restaurants, Los Cristianos for a real town with a harbour, and Palm Mar or Callao Salvaje for quiet.

When is the best time to visit south Tenerife?

Any month works. December to March is the high season, with daytime highs around 21–23 °C; April to June is quieter and better value; September and October have the warmest sea, around 23–24 °C.

Which Tenerife airport should I fly into?

Tenerife South (TFS). It is 15–30 minutes from every apartment in this collection. Tenerife North (TFN) is over an hour away and mostly handles inter-island and mainland Spanish flights.

Are there apartments for families or groups?

Yes. Several two-bedroom apartments sleep four to six, and the two premium Atlantic Home apartments in Costa Adeje have two and three bedrooms with a private pool.
