Balcony overlooking the pool and the Atlantic in Los Cristianos

Sea-View Stays in Tenerife

Terraces and rooftops facing the Atlantic.

Every stay in this collection has the ocean in view from its own terrace, balcony or rooftop — from Costa Adeje, Torviscas and Playa de las Américas down to Los Cristianos, Palm Mar and Callao Salvaje. From a studio for two to a two-level, two-bedroom apartment for six, most of them a short walk from the sand.

A sea view is the one thing you cannot add to a stay afterwards, and on this coast it changes how the apartment gets used: breakfast outside, the afternoon on the terrace instead of the beach, the sunset from your own rooftop rather than a bar.

Everything gathered here has the Atlantic in sight from a private outdoor space. The eleven apartments run the length of the south-west coast of Tenerife, and they differ less in the view than in what surrounds it.

Rooftop terraces

Two apartments have a roof terrace of their own: a one-bedroom in Playa de las Américas, a few minutes from Troya and Bobo beaches, and a one-bedroom in the quiet village of Palm Mar. A rooftop is the version of the view that feels most private — nobody above you, sun loungers, and the whole horizon rather than a slice of it.

High floors in the resort

Several are on upper floors of the big complexes between Las Américas and Torviscas: a top-floor one-bedroom in the Torres Yomely building in the centre of Las Américas, a fifth-floor one-bedroom in the Orlando complex above Torviscas beach, a one-bedroom in the Garden City complex in Costa Adeje, and two one-bedroom apartments in Las Américas looking over the pool to the sea. Height buys you the view over the rooftops of the resort and, on clear days, La Gomera on the horizon.

Beach-level balconies and quieter corners

In Los Cristianos, a one-bedroom in Torres del Sol has a balcony over the pool and Playa de las Vistas. In Callao Salvaje, a two-bedroom looks west over the ocean from a complex with a heated pool. In Costa Adeje, Studio Santa Maria is the compact option for two, and in Las Américas a two-level, two-bedroom apartment in the Altemar complex has two terraces with a partial, corner view of the ocean and room for six.

Frequently asked questions

Which part of south Tenerife has the best sea views?

The whole south-west coast faces the Atlantic, so the view depends more on the building than the area. High floors in Las Américas and Torviscas look over the resort to the sea and La Gomera; rooftops in Las Américas and Palm Mar give an open horizon; Callao Salvaje faces west, which makes it the best of these for sunsets.

Is a sea-view apartment worth it in winter?

Yes, arguably more than in summer. Winter afternoons in south Tenerife are around 21–23 °C and usually dry, so a terrace with a view is where most of the day is spent.

Are these apartments close to the beach?

Most are a few hundred metres from a beach. The Las Américas and Los Cristianos apartments are two to five minutes' walk from Troya, Bobo or Las Vistas; Palm Mar and Callao Salvaje have smaller beaches a few minutes from the complexes.

Can a family of six stay in a sea-view apartment here?

Yes — the two-level, two-bedroom Altemar apartment in Las Américas sleeps six. The other apartments sleep two to four.
